A Bus Crashed Into a Chandelier Shop… I wish I could think of a punchline but sadly it’s no joke. We saw the aftermath of a very bad traffic accident on our way to nursery and there was, in fact, the back end of bus sticking out of the lighting shop on the corner of a terrifically busy junction (the one where we take a deep breath and cross 6 lanes as mentioned previously in dispatches). Which was some kind of miracle in itself as the pavement is about 3 feet higher than the road at that point. As we walked by later in the day, a few forlorn shopworkers were painstakingly hanging crystal drops on to the biggest chandelier I’ve seen. Horrible.
